Volkswagen Golf Mk1 Seen At Gravity Show 2024
We spotted this stunning Volkswagen Golf Mk1 at the Gravity Show 2024 fitted with Tillet buckets seats and Sabelt harness belts. This Volkswagen Golf Mk1 is a great build, one of many we saw at Gravity, this one, in particular, caught our eye with its Carbon Fibre Tillet B6 bucket seats and Sabelt 4-point road belts that match perfectly the rest of the build. The owner of this car used Tillett TB FIA02 aluminium side mounting brackets to install these seats into the Mk1 Golf which we would also recommend if we were to supply this equipment. The Sabelt harness belts used for this build are ECE-approved, affordable, and made specifically for fast road use. These are generally perfect as an entry-level tuning belt.Â
Our In-Store Tillett B6 Screamer Showcase
This specific Tillett seat is FIA approved so it can be used for all motorsport events. The B6 Screamer is a direct replacement for the ever-so-popular B6F, the new design process makes the B6 Screamer even stronger than before with a 20% weight reduction without compromising the strength. With an ultralight shell weighing from 5.8kg. The rear of the seat has been designed with a tighter cockpit in mind as well as being aesthetically pleasing. The seat as standard comes with a dynamic suede headrest.
Tillett B6 Screamer Driver Profile
The driver we used in the images below has a 34-36 inch waist and is 5FT 11 inches tall and is sitting inside an XL version of the Tilett B6 Screamer Seat. The driver still had some space around the sides of their hips and had plenty of space between their shoulders and harness slots, this is important to allow harnesses to fit correctly over the driver’s shoulders. The standard size B6 Screamer would be perfect for this driver as its 3cm more narrow compared to the XL version, giving the driver a better secure fitment inside the seat. We don’t recommend drivers with tall torsos as this seat has a short back, this will allow you to get enough contact at the back of your head against the head support.Â
Our Tillett B6 Seat Collection
We have four different listings for the Tillett B6 And the B6 Screamer that include different materials and different seat sizes to appeal to a wider range of drivers. The XL versions are 3cm wider, making them suitable for drivers with a 34-38 inch waist size.Â
The belt holes on the B6 and B6 Screamer Tillett seats are now positioned higher for a more comfortable fit of the harness belts. The rear of these seats have a new design which is more compact to avoid roll bars and better looking. Importantly the weight is now 20% lighter than the B6F as this seat uses Tillett’s brand new molding system which creates seats of superior strength. This range of seats can be used quite comfortably without any padding, meaning that you can achieve a lower driving position than most other seats on the market.

Our Sabelt Harness Collection...
In the Volkswagen Golf Mk1 we saw at Gravity, it had a pair of Sabelt 4-point road harnesses installed that we have available in our Sabelt Clubman harness collection. This belt is available in two different versions, bolt-in and clip-in with three colour options to choose from. Â These belts are designed with 2-inch/50mm shoulder and lap straps, equipped with a standard push button release mechanism, just like a standard car seat belt type release.
