The BMW E46 has a wide range of options to install bucket seats from Cobra, Corbeau, Sparco, OMP, and other brands. But with so many options on the market, which brackets should you use to get the right fit for your requirements?Â
BMW E46 Fixed Position Side Mount Adaptors...
We have 3 side mount seat options. When using Cobra bucket seats including the Imola, Suzuka, and Monaco pro we recommend sticking with the Cobra direct fit side mounts to ensure correct fitment. These also offset the seat to provide a better driving position in relation to the steering wheel.Â
For all other bucket seats we recomend the QMS and PCI racing side mounts which provide a huge level of adjustability and provide a fixed position that sits correctly with the steering wheel position as well. You can of course also use cobra seats with the QMS and PCI racing mounts.Â

If you need a your bucket seats to slide backwards and forwards you have a range of options. For side mounted bucket seats we would go with the PCI Racing fitting kit every time. This all-in-one fitting kit comes with everything you need and works a treat. If you have a base mounted reclining sport seat from Sparco, OMP, Corbeau, or Cobra though we would recommend sticking with the correct base mounted fitting kit from Cobra, Corbeau and Planted Technology. The Cobra fitting kit works with each Cobra seat, the Corbeau fitting kit with each Corbeau seat, and the Planted Technology frame works with all known seats on the market as this has the bolt pattern for every brands.Â
